This Privacy Policy explains how Matthew Teague, a Credit Representative (CR 573962) of Flint Group Pty Ltd (ACL 488313) (“I”, “me”, “my”), handles your personal information. I am committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Information I collect
To provide mortgage broking and credit assistance, I may collect personal and financial information including your name, contact details, employment and income details, assets and liabilities, expenses, identification documents, and details about the property or loan you are seeking. I collect this information directly from you, and sometimes from third parties such as lenders, your accountant, or referral partners, with your consent.
How I use your information
I use your information to assess your needs and objectives, research and recommend suitable loan options, prepare and submit loan applications on your behalf, comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, and stay in contact with you about your loan and broking service. I will only use your information for the purpose it was collected, or a related purpose you would reasonably expect.
Who I share it with
To arrange your finance, I may disclose your information to lenders and credit providers, the Flint Group aggregator network, mortgage insurers, valuers, and other parties involved in your application. I do not sell your personal information. Where information is disclosed to a third party, I take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with the APPs.
How I store and protect it
Your information is stored securely in electronic systems with access controls and reasonable safeguards against misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. I retain information only as long as needed to provide my service and meet legal record-keeping requirements.
Access, correction and complaints
You can request access to the personal information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date. If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, please contact me and I will work to resolve it. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
